“Due to her strong interest in the physio space, Angie is highly knowledgeable in exercise anatomy and its relevance to yoga, and this reflects in both her physical training and theory classes. I chose Angie’s training after my first interaction with her during a Vinyasa Fundamentals workshop at Hom, and I knew I want to be practising yoga for a long time, in a safe manner. Whether you hope to teach classes eventually like myself or just be practising, her training would not disappoint (though it would certainly be tough!)”

''I came into Angie's YTT wanting to deepen my understanding of the mind and body, and explore yoga as a means of accessing and strengthening their connection. I'd taken her classes at Hom before and appreciated her functional and structured approach to teaching. Naturally, I expected her YTT to be equally thoughtful, comprehensive, and scientific - I was not disappointed. The 10+ weekends I spent with her and my cohort was an intense and incredible experience. Days were long, but full and carefully planned. Angie was attentive, available, and receptive to questions and discussion, and provided so much value and wisdom in her answers and feedback, which were always direct and sincere. I left with not only a clearer physiological understanding of the mind, body, and the mechanisms through which they interact, but also with confidence in my ability to hold space and lead others with intention, and a greater appreciation for yoga as an introspective and holistic practice. If you're in the market for a solid, no bullsh*t YTT, I would highly recommend Angie - you won't regret it!”

KENNY LEONG, 200HR YTT GRADUATE

“As one who works in the domains of movement and contemplative arts, undergoing a 200-hour YTT with Angie was one of my most rewarding and fulfilling endeavours. I went into it thinking it could simply be a way for me to engage deeper with the practice of vinyasa yoga in a safe manner, but the training expanded the horizons in many striking ways — for it not only provided a holistic, immersive, supportive, and comprehensive environment to reconsider common practices often taken for granted, but also a nurturing, inclusive, empowering, and thought-provoking space within which I could learn to explore my strengths and make sense of my limitations. Angie's approach to the practice, thoroughly illuminated by human anatomy, naturally instils a deep and penetrating reverence for the physical body and respect for the way every individual is built slightly differently; translated on a personal level, it gave me an unshakeable foundation on which I can continually — and confidently — cultivate a safe and informed practice I can truly call my own.

Throughout Angie's YTT programme, there were countless things I was grateful for, yet the one that stands out is its intelligently structured pedagogical approach, which equips future teachers with the requisite, practical, and readily applicable knowledge, skills, etiquette, and standards to actually teach in the real world. (It seems obvious that this should be so, but the broad standards of the industry attest to the fact that her approach is an exception, not a norm.) Relearning how I connect to my own body, breath, and mind is but one of many insightful achievements from my YTT with Angie. To acquire the faculties to live the philosophy and embodied practice of vinyasa, and to be of service to others for the same purpose, is perhaps my greatest and most long-lasting lesson. ”

“There are a wide variety of yoga teacher trainings out there, with varying quality. If you’re looking for a structured programme that gives you solid grounding in anatomy, Angie’s yoga teacher trainings are for you. The whole 200 hours with her was well-paced, with a good mix of lectures, asana and teaching practice, and humanity lessons. She provided additional materials to supplement our discussions during the training, and provided ample time for Q&A.

It was a very enjoyable programme I learned so much about yoga and how it can be applied in my day to day. I really enjoyed her lessons on anatomy as it really helped me learn how to cue my students into poses that will help them reap benefits tailored to them instead of just mimicking what social media shows. Definitely recommended! Am considering doing more CETs with her in the future!”

“Little more needs to be said about Angie’s props as a teacher - anyone who has been through Angie’s classes or training would agree that she is a knowledgeable and effective teacher who advocates for a safe, injury-free practice. As my mentor during the program, she was also always prompt with providing her valuable feedback that helped to elevate me as a teacher-in-training.

What many may not be as privy to is Angie’s dedication and commitment to her students, despite pandemic-related restrictions.

Despite these circumstances, Angie was always kind, patient and focused on our development as aspiring teachers. Without a doubt, Angie stands out as an amazing teacher and as an individual.”

“I never knew that I was doing the downward dog wrong for the entire time until I began practising under Angie.

During the 200hr YTT, Angie made sure to explain each of the asanas in a comprehensive and interesting way, even going into the details of each joint. She made sure that everyone was involved during the class and shared as much as she could during the 2 months. I'm grateful to have been able to absorb this much information in such a short time and because of her, I'm confident enough to put theory into practice during my classes.”

“Managing Injuries in the Vinyasa Practice has given me a deeper and easier way of understanding the body anatomy during yoga practices. Anatomy is such an intense topic but both Angie and Seishen have managed to break it down into bite-sized portions and explain in layman terms for us to understand.

The pre-recorded videos are also a good element of the course so there is opportunity to revise during the next few months.

Thank you Angie and Seishen!”

“Managing Injuries in the Vinyasa Practice is a course that I believe is fundamentally necessary for all new yoga teachers to attend. I was not only able to refresh my memory, but also learn many more key anatomical concepts with Angie that may not have been covered thoroughly in most 200hr YTTs. Both Angie and Seishen were super professional and precise about everything they taught us, and were able to answer all our questions in ways that made it easy for us to understand.
I greatly benefitted from this course and can't wait to incorporate this new knowledge into all of my classes. On top of that, having dealt with lower back issues myself, the course also taught me some great new ways to modify postures in my own vinyasa practice and I truly feel the difference! #gottalovelocust”

Managing Injuries in the Vinyasa practice is a course I encourage yoga teachers and practitioners to attend and gain a deeper understanding of body anatomy in yoga practice. Angie and Seishen created a safe environment for me to learn and their sharing gave me insights into how I can be a better yoga teacher. I look forward to applying this new knowledge to my own practice and in my classes. Sign me up for the next one!

“I have attended Angie's regular Vinyasa classes for a few months and found her teaching style very informative. Thus when I learnt of "Reimagining the Vinyasa Practice", I decided to sigh up for the course hoping to learn more about the Vinyasa Practice. During the lectures, Angie shared with us her immense knowledge of the human anatomy and how such knowledge is important in the way a yoga teacher cues her classes. As a regular yogi, having a more in-depth knowledge of the way our shoulder/hip joints function and how different muscles work certainly made me more conscious of how to get into different poses in a regular class in order to prevent injuries. During the practice, Angie brought us through various drills to reinforce the knowledge shared during the lectures. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and am looking forward to the next one!”

“Reimagining the Vinyasa Practice gave me a deeper understanding of postural alignment and brings to light the subtleties within each asana that takes your practice to a different level!

Angie is a dedicated and passionate teacher who is willing to share the depth of her knowledge with all her students. She is able to correct our stances with her precise cues even without assisting. It is great to learn from someone who can give us a fresh perspective on vinyasa sequencing!”
